Russian troops blow up bridge at Kakhovka HPP during escape from Kherson
Maxar company published satellite images of the bridge at Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, which Russian forces blew up during their escape from Kherson
The Institute for the Study of War reports.
American analysts stated that satellite images confirm statements of Ukrainian and Russian sources that Russian occupying forces destroyed Antonivskyi, Zaliznychnyi and Daryivskyi bridges and the bridge over the dam at Kakhovska HPP during their escape from Kherson.
This was done in an attempt to block the offensive of Ukrainians in the direction of the central part of Kherson region.
The ISW added that geolocation satellite imagery also indicated that Russian forces had prepared first and second lines of defense south of Dnipro River and were likely to continue efforts to strengthen positions on the left bank in the coming days.
