Russian troops attack Ukraine's positions in South over 600 times in 24 hours

This was reported by Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops.

“In total, over the last 24 hours, the enemy assaulted our positions 16 times, conducting 626 attacks and 15 air strikes,” as stated in the report.

The Defense Forces' artillery units in the Tavria direction conducted 1,248 firing operations throughout the day.

During the same period, the enemy suffered casualties of 232 people, including 79 killed and 153 wounded or captured.

Additionally, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy 27 pieces of enemy military equipment, which included 6 tanks, 6 armored fighting vehicles, 8 artillery systems and mortars, 1 MLRS, 1 anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), 1 grenade launcher, 1 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), 2 vehicles, and 1 piece of special equipment.

Furthermore, 6 ammunition warehouses and 1 command and observation post were successfully eliminated.

• On August 20, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 9 strikes on areas where enemy personnel had gathered. The defense forces also took down an enemy command post.
