Russian troops attack in Lyman and Kupyansk directions - Ukraine’s deputy defense minister

"The situation in the east is difficult now. The enemy has massed its forces and is conducting an active offensive on Lyman and Kupyansk directions, trying to seize the initiative. The enemy is engaging in intense shelling, and the fighting remains fierce," the statement said.

Furthermore, she states that Russian troops are trying to reach the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are currently the primary direction of Russia’s offensive. The bulk of their units, including air assault troops, are concentrated in that area.
