Russian troops attack 9 regions of Ukraine, killing 5 

Information on the consequences of the attacks as of 09:00 am was released by the regional military administrations.

Chernihiv region

Over the past day, Russian troops launched 10 attacks. Novhorod-Siverskyi district came under artillery and mortar attack. 

One person was injured in the shelling of Hremyach village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community. A house and an outbuilding were also damaged.

Sumy region

At night and in the morning, Russian troops fired 11 times at the border areas and settlements of the region. Five territorial communities were shelled.

Yesterday during the day, Russian troops fired 31 times at the settlements of the Sumy region. Settlements of 10 communities were shelled.

Russian troops attacked with a Shahed UAV the premises of an educational institution in the town of Romny. The building of the educational institution was completely destroyed, 4 civilians were killed and 4 injured.

Dnipropetrovsk region

At night, Russian troops attacked Dnipro city with missiles. One of them was shot down by the East Air Command fighters. 

As a result of the attack, a transport facility was damaged. Seven people were injured, six of them were hospitalized in moderate condition. A dozen other facilities were also damaged. Among them are a bank, a gas station, a hotel, an agricultural company, a furniture manufacturer, and an administrative building. Fifteen kiosks, two residential buildings, three buses and several cars, a trolleybus network, water and gas pipelines were damaged. 

Also yesterday afternoon, the Marhanets community, Nikopol region, suffered from two Russian artillery shellings in one day.

Zaporizhzhia region

Russian troops launched 90 attacks targeting 26 towns and villages within the Zaporizhzhia region. Frontline settlements were subjected to 71 artillery strikes.

Chervone, Robotyne, Stepnohirsk, Lukyanivske and Novodarivka suffered from 10 MLRS attacks, Malynivka and Pyatikhatky were attacked 3 times by UAVs, and Orikhiv was hit by 6 air strikes.

Kharkiv region

At night, Russian troops shelled Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district. The building of the Vovchansk anti-tuberculosis dispensary was damaged, a fire broke out. A sawmill was also damaged, a fire broke out, an MTZ tractor and a car were destroyed.

At night, Russian troops also shelled the village of Vilcha, Chuhuiv district, with artillery. A fence was damaged and dry grass caught fire.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched air strikes near 2 settlements. They fired mortar and artillery shells at 3 settlements in the Chuhuiv district. In the Kupyansk direction, they launched air strikes near Shyikivka. Six more settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

Yesterday, a private house, a car, a trailer and a power line were damaged as a result of Rusisan artillery shelling in Kupyansk. As a result of a missile strike (Kh-35) on the village of Mykhailivka, Chuhuiv district, the buildings of Agroservice LTD were damaged. A fire broke out. A metal warehouse with fertilizer was destroyed. A workshop, 6 cars, a tractor and a fuel tanker were damaged. 

A residential building and outbuildings burned as a result of shelling in Vovchansk. In the village of Yavirske, Izium district, on the territory of the enterprise "Yavirske", a T-150 mini-tractor, which was controlled remotely, exploded on an unknown explosive device in a field during earthworks.

Luhansk region

Russian troops carried out an air strike on Tverdokhlibove and artillery strikes on Nevske and Bilohorivka overnight.

Donetsk region

Russian troops shelled 9 settlements.

One person was killed and 4 others were wounded as a result of the attacks. In addition, 11 private houses, a village council building, a cafe, 5 civilian vehicles, a truck, a school, and a poultry house were damaged.

Mykolaiv region

At night, as a result of shelling of the Kutsurub community, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. So far, 3 people have been injured in the shelling of the Mykolaiv region.

Yesterday, Russian forces fired artillery and MLRS at the water area of the Ochakiv community. The town of Ochakiv also experienced shelling yesterday afternoon and throughout the night. As a result of this shelling, residential infrastructure and the Internet line were damaged.

Kherson region

Throughout the day, Russian troops launched 99 artillery attacks in the region, with 8 of them targeting Kherson. Russian forces struck 29 settlements within the region. The attacks resulted in damage to a kindergarten, a factory, and an enterprise in Kherson, as well as an administrative building and a store in the Beryslav district.

As a result of the shelling, 7 people were injured.

• During the night of August 24, missile and ballistic alerts have been reported in Dnipro and nearby regions in eastern and southern Ukraine. Russian troops have attacked a transportation facility, resulting in injuries to 7 people and causing damage to dozens of buildings.
