Russian troops are able to launch assault operations only in small locations

Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military and political observer at the Information Resistance group, believes that Russian troops in the Donetsk region will concentrate on the main 4 directions, because they will not be able to attack on a large scale

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"Russian occupiers now have the opportunity to carry out assault actions only in small locations, along a narrow frontline. If we are talking about the Donetsk region, they will concentrate on the main 4 areas: Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Vuhledar. Russian troops will try to concentrate their forces and means in these areas to achieve at least some result. But the enemy will not be able to launch a large-scale offensive. And in the near future, the Donetsk bridgehead will be exclusively defensive for the Ukrainian Armed Forces," noted the military and political observer of the Information Resistance group.

Oleksandr Kovalenko noted that there is no possibility of counteroffensive actions there now.

"However, it is possible to launch counterattacks that will help us improve the situation in certain areas, for example, near Bakhmut. Because Russians are having problems with their flanks there, they cannot ensure the safety of their flanks. And if any events occur on one of the flanks, they will be forced to reduce the pressure on the city itself. That is, there may be a completely unpredictable situation there, not even because of any counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army, but rather because of some effective counterattacks in some areas. So, everything can change very quickly," Kovalenko commented.
