Russian troops advance in three directions; AFU repelled attacks near 9 cities and villages

Russian forces are also constantly conducting aerial surveillance.

However, over the past day, November 17, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the occupants near the settlements of Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region and Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Vodiane and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

The enemy does not stop shelling the positions of our troops and settlements near the contact line. Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 5 air and 27 missile strikes and implemented more than 50 multiple-launch missile attacks.

Over the past day, missile strikes damaged civilian infrastructure in Balakliya and Izium, Kharkiv region; Vilniansk, Zaporizhzhia region; Dnipro city and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region; Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region and Odesa.

In Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation is without significant changes. The enemy's threat of missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of the Republic of Belarus remains.

In other directions, the enemy carried out attacks:

• in the Siversk direction - from mortars and cannon artillery near the settlements of Hremyach and Senkivka in the Chernihiv region and Horky, Seredina-Buda, Ukrainske and Fotovyzh in the Sumy region

• in the Slobozhansk direction - from tanks and artillery of various types in the areas of Hlyboke, Ohirtseve, Osynove, Starytsa and Khatne settlements of the Kharkiv region

• in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions - from tanks and the entire range of artillery in the areas of Berestove, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Pishchane and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region; Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region and Kolodiazi in Donetsk region

• in the Bakhmut direction - from tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery near the settlements of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Opytne, Mayorsk, New York, Soledar, Spirne and Yakovlivka of Donetsk region

• in the Avdiivka direction - from tanks and artillery near the settlements of Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske, Donetsk region

• in the Novopavlivsk direction - from mortars, cannon and rocket artillery near the settlements of Bohoyavlenka, Vremivka and Vuhledar, Donetsk region

• in the Zaporizhzhia direction - from mortars in the areas of Zaliznychne, Mali Shcherbaky and Shcherbaky, Zaporizhzhya region

• in the Kherson direction - from barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Antonovka, Odradokamyanka and Chernobayevka in the Kherson region

Recall that on November 17, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 4 cruise missiles, 2 guided aircraft missiles and 5 drones.
