Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the occupying Russian forces have lost over 970,000 soldiers

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 15, 2025, are approximately:

  • personnel - about 970,590 (+1,220),
  • tanks - 10,812 (+8),
  • armored fighting vehicles - 22,514 (+13), 
  • artillery systems - 27,872 (+45),
  • MLRS - 1,384 (+2),
  • air defense systems - 1,166 (+1),
  • aircraft - 372 (+0),
  • helicopters - 335 (+0),
  • UAVs of operational and tactical level - 36,000 (+140),
  • cruise missiles - 3,197 (+0),
  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),
  • submarines - 1 (+0),
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 48,547 (+165),
  • special equipment - 3,892 (+8).
