Russian subversive group tries to cross state border in Kharkiv region – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

“The Russian Federation continues to conduct full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. It is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, increasing the number of personnel,” the General Staff wrote.

In the Kharkiv region, a Russian subversive reconnaissance group tried to cross the border near Bilohorivka. The Ukrainian Defense Forces units forced the enemy to retreat into Russian territory.

Invading Russian forces launched 10 airstrikes in Ukraine over the previous day

“Over the last day, the enemy launched 9 missile strikes, 4 of which were against the city of Kharkiv, 10 airstrikes, as well as over 20 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems. The threat of missile attacks remains high throughout Ukraine. The enemy continues to maintain a military presence near the state border of Ukraine, but no signs of the formation of its offensive groups have been detected,” the report says.

The Russian Federation continued shelling the entire border line: 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 4 settlements in the Sumy region, as well as over 15 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

The situation in other Ukrainian regions that came under Russian attacks:

• In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the Russian enemy conducted several unsuccessful offensives. It also attempted to infiltrate a sabotage and reconnaissance group near Fyholivka. Over 11 settlements were attacked. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian forces continue to attack the Ukrainian troops and are actively conducting aerial reconnaissance to adjust artillery fire. More than 18 settlements of the Donetsk region came under fire. 

• In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the occupying forces conducted an unsuccessful offensive near 5 settlements of the Donetsk region and attacked 20 more. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, 9 settlements came under enemy fire. 

• In the Kherson direction, the invading Russian forces' artillery damaged the settlements of the Kherson region located on the right bank of the Dnipro River.

Ukrainian aviation attacked Russian military positions

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation launched 10 strikes on areas where Russian personnel and military equipment were concentrated.

Missile and artillery units struck 2 of the enemy's manpower concentration areas. 

“The Russian forces are using the local infrastructure in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region for their own purposes. Thus, at one of the service stations in Tokmak, the invaders not only service their military equipment, but also disassemble cars stolen from the local population for further sale,” the General Staff added.
