Russian special services, members of "DPR", "LPR" torture Ukrainians in Izyum
Dmytro Chubenko, the spokesman of the Kharkiv Prosecutor's Office, says that Ukrainians were tortured by Russian special services and police officers from the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" in Izyum, Kharkiv region
Dmytro Chubenko, the spokesman of the Kharkiv Prosecutor's Office, shared the details with Espreso TV.
"At the moment, the prosecutor's office has not established special units for torture. We understand that these actions were carried out with the aim of obtaining certain information from citizens, or in order to suppress the protest mood of the Ukrainian population. This was done by the so-called people's police, and FSB employees were also seen. If they saw that a person really had certain information or was involved in active pro-Ukrainian activities, then more experienced FSB employees joined such "activities". Riot police were also located on the territory of the Kharkiv region. In particular, there were police officers from the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics in Izyum. There were many of them in this city, because the Russian occupiers saw them as local policemen who understand the mentality of the population and can work with it," Chubenko said.
