Russian paratroopers are being transferred to Kherson region - regional official
There is an build-up of Russian troops, mostly comprising landing units, in the Kherson region.
Serhiy Khlan, adviser to the head of the Kherson regional military administration, told about this on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon.
"Ukrainian forces already have a certain advantage on the line of contact and destruction of the enemy's rear reserves, the occupier is still transferring its landing units. What is happening is the strengthening of the occupiers, the increase of defense capabilities. The strengthening is going on, despite the destroyed logistics and transport arteries for the supply of weapons and ammunition," he emphasized.
The regional head's adviser noted that every Kherson citizen hears and sees the work of the Ukraine's Armed Forces, thanks to their accurate hits on the accumulation of Russian troops and equipment.
"Now, by the way, they are reporting that explosions are again heard at the railway station, where more than 40 enemy wagons were recently destroyed... These are fuel and lubricants, weapons, and ammunition for salvo fire systems. Explosions are heard in the Chornobayivka area. Our armed forces are consistently destroying absolutely all of the enemy's rear stockpiles and ammunition, all this is happening along with the effective destruction of the enemy's field warehouses and rear stockpiles," Serhiy Khlan said.
He also focused on the situation around the Antoniv bridge. "They (Russian troops - Ed.) really launched several pontoon platforms near the Antoniv bridge, which are exclusively pulled by boats from the left and right banks. It takes about two hours. The occupiers mix this movement of their military equipment with civilian transport and, as usual, cover themselves with civilian population. But the occupiers lack this and it is a very big logistical problem for them."
