Russian order hides desertion, threats to execute Russian soldiers - Main Intelligence directorate
Ukrainian intelligence have said that Russian invaders are trying to minimise combat encounters with Ukraine’s Armed Forces, and those who flee are threatened with execution
This was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence Main Intelligence Directorate.
"Despite threats of criminal prosecution, barricading detachments of the so-called Kadyrov troops and increased control by individuals and border guards, the Russian occupiers are trying to leave Ukraine in every possible way," the statement said.
The order issued by the Russian 30th separate motorised infantry brigade hides mass desertion, for which they threaten soldiers with execution. One squadrons in this brigade was detained near the Shiyany checkpoint (Belgorod region) while trying to cross the state border. The Russian occupiers were forcibly returned to the zone of active warfare. After this, Russian troops began discussing willingly surrendering to the Ukrainian forces.
Ukraine's military intelligence has published a list of the command staff with the 30th separate motorised infantry brigade of the 2nd Military Army of the Russian Armed Forces, currently in the Lyman direction.
