Russian occupiers launch 9 missile and 10 air strikes and use MLRSs more than 10 times in 24 hrs
On Tuesday, October 18, the Russian army launched 9 missile and 10 air strikes, and used MLRSs more than 10 times to fire on Ukrainian settlements, a dozen of them were targeted
This is stated in the evening summary of the General Staff on Facebook.
Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kurakhove in the Donetsk region and Trikhaty in the Mykolaiv region were hit by the enemy fire. The enemy used cruise, aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles. In addition, on one of the directions, the occupiers used 4 Shahed-136 ‘kamikaze’ drones, three of which shot down units of the Defense Forces.
The General Staff notes that the enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories and is not abandoning attempts to conduct an offensive in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
During the day, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of such settlements as: Ohirtseve, Kharkiv region; Belohorivka, Luhansk region; Novokalynove and Maryinka, Donetsk region.
Belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, providing its infrastructure and airspace. The General Staff emphasizes that there is still a threat of missile and air strikes, as well as the use of Shahed-136 attack UAVs from the territory of Belarus.
