Russian nuclear strike would almost certainly draw "physical response" - Reuters
A Russian nuclear strike would change the course of the war and almost certainly trigger a "physical response" from Ukraine allies and potentially from NATO

This was reported by Reuters with reference to the statement of a high-ranking NATO official on condition of anonymity.
According to him, any use of nuclear weapons by Russia will have "unprecedented consequences" for it and, "most likely, will provoke a physical response from many allies and potentially from NATO itself."
The representative of the Alliance added that Russia is primarily trying to prevent the direct entry of NATO and other states into the war in Ukraine with its nuclear threats.
Presumably, this is the first statement by the Alliance confirming the possibility of armed intervention by the West in the event of Russia's use of nuclear weapons.
