On July 12, the head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Ihor Taburets, reported this.
On the night of July 12, an air alert in Cherkasy lasted for more than three and a half hours due to an enemy attack with Shahed drones.
“A non-residential facility in the Cherkasy district was hit, causing a fire that has now been extinguished,” the message said.
Two individuals with burns were also reported and taken to the hospital.
The Air Force of Ukraine announced that they destroyed 11 drones during the night.
“The Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from the northeast (Kursk) using Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones,” the message stated.
A total of 15 kamikaze drones were used by the Russians, with 11 of them being destroyed in the areas covered by the Center and East air commands.
The night attack was reported by Espreso.
An air alert was issued in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions.
The Air Force and local authorities warned about the threat of attack drones, specifically the Shahed drones launched by the Russians.

“The air alert lasted for over 2 hours. All enemy targets in the airspace around Kyiv were detected and destroyed by our air defense forces. We thank our air defense for the excellent work! No casualties or destruction have been reported so far,” Kyiv city military administration’s message said.

At 01:55, the Kyiv city military administration reported that the air defense system was active on the approaches to Kyiv.
