Russian night attack: hits in Odesa region, air defense triggered in Khmelnytskyi
Russia launched attack drones from the south at about 10 p.m. on December 6. Air defense was operating in the Khmelnytskyi region, and there were hits in the Odesa region
The Ukrainian Air Force reported this.
At around 10:00 p.m., the threat of enemy attack UAVs was reported in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. Later, Kirovohrad region was added to the list, from where the Shaheds headed north to the Cherkasy region, and then to the Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi regions. Starokostiantyniv was under particular threat.
The deputy head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, posted on Facebook that explosions were heard during the air raid in the Khmelnytskyi region.
"Residents of the Khmelnytskyi district could hear the sounds of explosions. Air Defense Forces are working. Stay in shelters until the alarm is over," the official said in a statement.
He later added that as of 01:35 a.m., there was no information about casualties or damage to infrastructure.
The second group of enemy drones attacked the Odesa region, in particular Reni, from the Black Sea, and from there headed west.
Consequences
According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the invading Russian forces targeted the port infrastructure of the Danube.
As a result, the warehouse, elevator and trucks were damaged. The driver of one of the trucks was killed. A fire broke out at the site, which was quickly extinguished by the State Emergency Service.
- On the night of December 7, the Russian troops launched 18 drones across Ukraine. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 15 Shahed UAVs.
