Russian missiles aimed at Mykolaiv port hit critical infrastructure

On the morning of July 26, Russian troops launched a massive rocket attack on Mykolaiv. They damaged a critical infrastructure facility and a motor vehicle enterprise.

Mykolaiv regional military administration head Vitaly Kim shared the news.

"On the morning of July 26, a massive rocket attack was launched on Mykolaiv. According to preliminary information, a critical infrastructure facility and a motor vehicle enterprise were hit as a result of the ammunition and their debris. There were no casualties so far. Detailed information is being clarified," he wrote.

As the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Senkevych later added, the city's boiler house was damaged as a result of the shelling.

"Today, during the shelling, one of our city's boiler houses was damaged. A part of the building was damaged due to the hit of the ammunition. Currently, OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo is assessing the damage and continuing preparations for the heating season," he said.

There are also shelling of air-launched missiles on the outskirts of the city. In addition, Russia tried to attack the port infrastructure of the city.

Earlier, the mayor of the city Oleksandr Senkevych said about the explosions on Telegram: "Powerful explosions are heard in Mykolaiv! I ask everyone to stay in shelters! Although the curfew has ended, the air alert continues!"

The air raid alarm was announced at 04:05, and the explosions became known an hour later.

Situation in the Mykolaiv region

According to Kim, at 22:00 on July 25, the village of Novomykolaivka of the Pervomaysk community was shelled, mainly in open areas. There are no casualties.

On the morning of July 26, at 05:00, an infrastructure facility in the Olshan community was shelled. There are no casualties.

"Bashtan district: yesterday, July 25, at approximately 18:00, the village of Shyroke of the Shyrokiv community was shelled. The shots were fired outside the settlement, there were no casualties. Also, at approximately 23:00, the village of Shiroke and the village of Chervona Dolyna were shelled, outside the borders of the villages. On the morning of July 26, at 4:30, the village of Chervona Dolyna was shelled. Hitting outside the village. There were no casualties," noted Vitaly Kim.

Also, the villages located on the demarcation line in the Berezneguvat community remain under constant shelling.  On July 25, at approximately 21:50, the village of Maliivka came under fire. One residential building was destroyed. There is no information about the victims.  Information about the destruction of residential buildings is being clarified.

In Voznesensk and Pervomaysk districts, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

OC South clarified that the S-300 air defense system from the temporarily occupied Kherson region was also struck in the Mykolaiv region.

"There are hits in the car market, other open areas of the suburbs. Information on the scale of the destruction and the victims is being clarified," the message says.
