"Russian missile is Putin spitting in the face of UN Secretary General Guterres and Turkey's President Erdogan" - Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called the Russian missile attack on the sea trade port of Odesa in the morning of July 23, just hours after the signing of agreements on the 'corridor' for the export of Ukrainian grain, "Putin's spit in the face of Guterres and Erdogan"
Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesman of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote about this on his Facebook.
"The Russian missile is Vladimir Putin's spit in the face of UN Secretary General António Guterres and Turkish President Recep Erdogan, who made enormous efforts to reach an agreement, and to whom Ukraine is grateful," he commented.
According to him, it took less than 24 hours for Russia to call into question the agreements and promises made and signed on July 22 in Istanbul with a strike on the territory of Odesa.
The spokesman emphasized the need for the strict implementation of agreements on the restoration of safe export of goods through the Black Sea and called on the UN and Turkey to ensure that Russia complies with its obligations within the framework of the safe functioning of the grain corridor.
If the agreements reached are not fulfilled, Russia will be responsible for deepening the global food crisis.
"Ukraine emphasizes the need to strictly implement the agreements regarding the resumption of safe export of Ukrainian agricultural goods through the Black Sea from three ports: Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdenne," Nikolenko emphasized.
