Russian missile attack on Kyiv region injures 5 people, hits military unit

According to Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian forces fired six Caliber missiles around 5:00, hitting a military unit in the settlement of Lyutezh, Kyiv region.

"Currently, there is information that one building was destroyed and two buildings were damaged. In addition, one cruise missile was shot down in the air over the Bucha quarry. The enemy launched a missile attack from the Black Sea, from the area of ​​Cape Fiolent," Gromov said.

Andriy Nebytov, the head of the Metropolitan Police, reports this.

"Rocket attack on Kyiv region! This morning, the enemy launched an attack on one of the infrastructure facilities in the Vyshgorod district. Police officers, employees of the State Emergency Service, and other emergency services are working on the spot. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of the airstrike. At this moment, there is no information about the victims or the killed," he said.

Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of Kyiv regional military administration, announced this on Telegram.

"This morning, the enemy launched a rocket attack on one of the communities of the Vyshgorod district. The infrastructure object was fired upon," he wrote.

Information about the victims is being clarified. All emergency services are already on site.

Locals are urged not to ignore the alarm signals and go to shelter.

According to eyewitnesses, around 5:00, explosions were heard in the region, and a fire was also visible.

"In the morning they hit Bucha or its surroundings. Dogs are howling. Sirens and alarms," ​​Oleksandr Motsar wrote on Facebook.

At 5:20, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv and the region. However, at 5:32 an alarm sounded again in Kyiv and the region. According to Belaruska Gayun, the launch of several rockets from the territory of Belarus was heard.

"05:23 Zyabrivka. Missile launch. Two to five launches are heard. 05:29 Zyabrivka. One more rocket launched. 05:31 Zyabrivka. Two rockets launched," the message reads.

After that, the locals heard 2 more explosions. And columns of smoke were again visible over the region.
