Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Truhanov described the damage in an announcement.
He said that one of the city’s architectural gems, Vorontsov Palace, had suffered as a result of a missile attack on Odesa. The blast damaged its windows and stucco elements.
"Once again I want to appeal to UNESCO to include Odesa in UNESCO World Heritage. We keep our architecture for future generations, not only in Odesa, but in the whole world," he said.
The palace is a cultural heritage site and is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine.
