Russian military undergoing training in Belarus pose no threat for Ukraine’s north - Vladyslav Selezniov
The AFU colonel Vladyslav Selezniov says that in the near future, military centers on the Belarusian territory will be used to train the Russian army, but no offensive from the north is expected
He said this on Espreso TV.
“As for the Russian army, which is currently on the territory of Belarus, just a few days ago, a high commission of military officials from Moscow arrived there to check what the mobilized troop were doing during the last six weeks in the territory of Belarusian training centers and training grounds. Most likely, these mobilized soldiers will be directed to areas of the eastern front to strengthen the defensive positions of the occupying Russian forces, which still do not lose hope of reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” the colonel of Ukraine's Armed Forces commented.
Vladyslav Selezniov added that the enemy has lost a lot of Russian soldiers in the eastern direction, but still cannot do anything with the Ukrainian resistance in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“Regarding the attack on Ukraine from the north, recently the representative of the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovych, said that the Russians do not have the resources and opportunities to attack Ukraine from the north. Maybe they dream about it, but it is one thing to dream, and another to implement such a plan. In my opinion, in the near future, training centers on the territory of Belarus will be used to train the personnel of the Russian Armed Forces. And further, the Russian army will transfer the prepared human resources to different parts of the front, i.e. anywhere, but not yet in the direction of Belarus,” Selezniov noted.
