Russian MiG-31 catches fire at Belarusian airfield, used to launch missiles at Ukraine
On Sunday, December 25, Russian MiG-31, which can carry Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missiles, has caught fire at the airfield in Machulishchy, Belarus.

The Belarusian Hajun monitoring project reported the information.
The project says that on December 13, 3 Russian MiG-31K aircraft arrived in Machulishchy. They have already made at least 4 flights: on December 16, 17, 21 and 25.
During the 2 weeks of their deployment at the airfield, all the aircraft conducted flights, except for one. According to the Belarusian Hajun, today that aircraft’s engine has caught fire. The fire damage will not allow the aircraft to take off in the near future.
The aircrafts have registration numbers RF-92215, RF-92445, RF-95194.
- The Belarusian Hajun monitoring project reported that the 38th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus, previously deployed to the border with Ukraine, is already returning back to Brest, Belarus.
