Since August 25, information on the website of Latvian President Egils Levits is available only in Latvian and English
This is reported by Delfi.
Until August 24, on the official website of Latvian President, president.lv, it was possible to choose one of three languages: Latvian, English or Russian. However, on August 25, the Russian one disappeared. Now information on the site is available only in English and Latvian.
As explained by the head of the Media Center of the State Chancellery, Justine Deichmane, in connection with Russia's war in Ukraine, the issue of state administration communication in Russian became very sensitive, so it was decided to provide information to the international audience only in English.
