Russian landing ship Novocherkassk likely destroyed with Storm Shadow — miliary expert Zgurets

"Now everyone is inclined to believe that the Russian ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia was destroyed by a Storm Shadow missile. This type of missile can indeed deliver such effective strikes. I would like to remind you that in August, our aviation struck a Russian landing craft and submarine in Novorossiysk. Long-range strike systems were also used then, in particular, Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles. As we can see, the effect of using these missiles is simply enormous," said Zgurets.

The expert emphasized that the military infrastructure in Crimea is very important for Russian forces, but they are not able to protect it.

"Today it has also become quite obvious that the Russian air defense system is not able to protect military facilities in Crimea. These facilities are critically important to them. However, Ukraine continues to destroy the occupiers' military infrastructure in Crimea," he added.

• On December 26, residents of Feodosia in Russian-occupied Crimea reported loud explosions over the city at night. The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the hit of the large landing ship Novocherkassk.
