Russian invaders shoot dead chief conductor of Kherson Theater, Yury Kerpatenko

This was reported by the Press Service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

"The Kherson regional prosecutor's office conducts procedural management in criminal proceedings initiated on the basis of violations of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code)," the message reads.

It became known that the occupiers shot the conductor of the regional philharmonic orchestra in his own home in the city of Kherson because he refused to cooperate with them.  Before that, the occupiers tried to persuade the man to cooperate with threats.  The deceased stopped contacting relatives in September 2022.

"Currently, the law enforcement officers are taking measures aimed at a quick, complete and impartial investigation into the circumstances of the criminal offense. The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region," the press service reported.
