Russian forces take away civilians’ boats to use them for sabotage in Nova Kakhovka - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this. 

In Luhansk region, the Russian forces closed the surgical department of a local medical facility to treat wounded Russian soldiers:

“In Starobilsk, Luhansk region, on the territory of the surgical building of the local hospital, the occupiers set up a military hospital to treat seriously wounded Russian soldiers. The surgical department is completely closed for use by civilians. As of February 11, about 20 military trucks with wounded Russians arrived,” the General Staff noted.

And in Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, the invading Russian forces are taking away local residents' boats to carry out sabotage and provocations. Thus, the Russians are searching private estates and seizing necessary items.

Despite significant losses, Russians are seeking to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions

“The enemy, despite significant losses, does not abandon its intentions to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, so it continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensives in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka directions,” the press service said.

On February 15, invading Russian forces launched 17 airstrikes and 28 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at civilian infrastructure in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, and in the Kherson region.

Civilians are reported to have been killed and wounded: a multi-storey building in Pokrovsk was hit and a hospital in Beryslav was shelled again.

“The threat of further Russian air and missile strikes across Ukraine remains high,” the military emphasized.

Ukrainian troops hit 14 Russian military positions and shoot down a Ka-52 helicopter

Over the course of the day, Ukrainian aviation conducted 11 strikes on the Russian forces's military positions, as well as 5 strikes on positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

At the same time, the military destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter on the eastern front. 

And the defenders of the missile troops and artillery hit the enemy's control center, 3 manpower concentration areas and 2 munitions depots. 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

“Certain units of the Belarusian and Russian Armed Forces continue to perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine. Combat training activities of Russian troops continue at the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus,” the press service said.

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with mortars and artillery: one settlement in the Chernihiv region, 6 more in the Sumy region, as well as 10 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the Russian enemy attacked more than 15 settlements with tanks, mortars and artillery.

In the Bakhmut direction, over 15 settlements of the Donetsk region came under mortar and artillery fire.

In the Avdiivka directions, 14 settlements of the Donetsk region came under tank, mortar and artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian enemy attacked more than 15 settlements. 

In the Kherson direction, Russian artillery hit the city of Kherson and over 10 villages and towns. 

• On the morning of February 15, enemy troops attacked the Mykolaiv region, in particular, the Ochakiv community.

• On the morning of February 15, Russian troops again shelled Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, causing fires.

• On February 15, the Russian army struck a high-rise building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region: at least 12 people were reported injured, and two more were trapped in the rubble.

• On the afternoon of February 15, 6 objects were spotted in Kyiv's airspace, preliminary, they were balloons with reflectors launched from Russia: most of them were shot down by air defense.
