Russian forces stop shelling Mykolaiv after liberation of Kherson - mayor Sienkevych
After November 11, explosions were heard in the vicinity of Mykolaiv, but the city itself was not fired upon, as the Russian forces moved the missile systems to the left bank of the Dnipro River
This was reported by the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, at the Ukraine Media Center.
“We were shelled for the last time three days ago. And, you know, this was the case when a five-story building was destroyed, and 7 people were killed. Since then, we hear explosions on the outskirts of the city, but actually there are no explosions in the city itself. And this is due to the fact that we were fired upon from the area near Kherson with S-300 missile systems. I think that they have moved them to the left bank of the Dnipro River and are deploying new defenses and new places for attack there. That's why we are quiet so far. I don't think that it will always be so quiet, but I hope it will be as long as possible,” Oleksandr Sienkevych said.
