Russian forces shell Energodar: fire blazes in city
Russian forces are shelling two Energodar neighborhoods, cars parked by residents are ablaze in the courtyards, and one apartment has been hit
This was announced by the mayor of Energodar Dmytro Orlov.
"Energodar, the third and fifth micro-districts - shelling! It is known in advance that one of the apartments in the building of the Internationalist Warriors was hit! Information about the victims and the scale of the destruction is being clarified," the mayor emphasized.
He added that the windows of neighboring houses were broken in some places. There is also the ignition of cars parked in the yard.
"Follow the rule of two walls and do not approach the windows under any circumstances during the shelling!," Orlov addressed the residents of the city.
The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, has already reacted to the shelling. He emphasized that nuclear blackmail should not go unanswered.
On the morning of August 29, the mayor of Energodar, Dmytro Orlov, reported that at least 10 people were injured as a result of the night shelling. They received shrapnel injuries of varying degrees of severity.
Two of the victims are in serious condition and hospitalized.
At least 20 cars parked near the houses were also destroyed.
"Obviously, this is how the Russians "worked out" their scenario on the eve of the IAEA mission's arrival at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. A direct threat to the lives of the civilian population does not stop terrorists," Orlov writes.
