Russian forces regroup near Avdiivka fearing Ukrainian offensive – AFU captain Prozapas
Ukrainian Armed Forces captain Valeriy Prozapas said that Russian troops are regrouping in the Avdiivka sector to deter the offensive of the Defence Forces of Ukraine
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The operational situation in the Avdiivka sector has not changed in the last few weeks. The intensity of fighting has decreased. It seems that the enemy is regrouping in anticipation of a counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, constant artillery shelling continues in this section of the frontline. It should also be noted that Russian intelligence has also become more active in this area," said Prozapas.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces captain stressed that Russians are acting very cautiously in the Avdiivka sector.
"The situation in the Avdiivka sector is not critical. Apparently, they are thinking about what to do with their Pyrrhic victory in the Bakhmut sector and do not want to repeat the same in other areas. It is impossible to achieve any results on the battlefield at the cost of such losses," he added.
