Russian forces prevent Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant personnel from working, they are under pressure - Ukraine's former Energy, Environmental Protection Minister Orzhel
The Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine (2019-2020) Oleksiy Orzhel believes that the IAEA mission does not have a mandate to assess the military component of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

He said this on the air of the "Espresso" TV channel.
"They did not communicate with the representatives of Energoatom, with the staff of the ZNPP. The staff of the plant is under severe pressure. We know about the torture in Energodar. The military presence of the Russian Federation does not allow the staff who are under pressure to work," Orzhel noted.
According to him, this situation does not ensure the safety of operation of the nuclear installation.
"There is a fact that there is military equipment of the Russian Federation in the engine rooms of the ZNPP, but the IAEA mission did not see it, or it was not shown," Orzhel emphasized.
