The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said this during the telethon.
According to him, the occupying forces are actively preparing for the 'elections'. Thus, new gauleiters who will be responsible for the fake election process are already appearing in the city. Resolutions of their so-called central election commission on holding sham elections are also appearing.
“And the 'administrative-territorial structure' is another stage of preparation for the 'elections', or rather the appearance of elections,” Fedorov emphasized.
He added that the occupation authorities could hold fake elections at any time.
On March 3, the invading Russian forces, who failed to seize the Zaporizhzhia region but declared occupation, decided that they would temporarily occupy Melitopol as the center of the region.
