Russian forces move three battalions of tank army in Belarus to the border with Ukraine

Commander of United Forces of AFU, Serhiy Nayev, said that Russians had advanced three battalions of the First Tank Army located in Belarus to the border with Ukraine

The command of the United Forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces reports on Facebook.

"On the territory of the Republic of Belarus, inspection of the units of the second motorized rifle division of the first tank army has begun. In particular, a motorized rifle battalion and two tank battalions have been tasked to advance to areas bordering Ukraine," Nayev said.

He added that currently Ukrainian Defense Forces have worked out elements of countering the landing of Russian airborne troops and sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the area of critical infrastructure facilities.

"These measures are taking place amid sudden inspection of Russian armed forces on the territory of Belarus, which are rehearsing offensive actions as part of exercises. Coordinated and clear actions of defenders proved their readiness for adequate countermeasures in case of Russian troops trying to seize this object," Nayev assured.
