Operational Command South's press center head Natalia Humeniuk said this on Espreso TV.
“The Kinburn Spit continues to be a de facto occupied territory. The enemy has access to it from the Left bank by land. A part of the spit (Mykolaiv region) is a 'gray zone' where the enemy cannot stay on a permanent basis,” she noted.
According to Humeniuk, the Russian forces occasionally deploy firing positions there and try to shoot from there.
“Their main goal is to terrorize the maritime transportation corridor through the Dnipro Estuary. But since they have weapons that can reach the other side, there are cases when they hit residential areas. Like today, when there were deaths and injuries,” the speaker summarized.
