Russian forces in Kharkov reduce offensive intensity, shift to defense - Carpathian Sich Battalion Deputy Commander
Maria Chashka, Deputy Commander of the Carpathian Sich Battalion, has said that Russian forces in Kharkiv region are no longer conducting active offensive operations because they have suffered significant losses in the recent period, and may also be trying to rotate their troops.
She shared the statement on Espreso.
"The situation in Kharkiv Oblast remains tense, the Russian army continues to shell our military positions with all types of weapons, uses aviation. The Russian army also attacks civilian objects and populated areas. If we compare the situation over the last period, we can note that the enemy has reduced the intensity of its offensive attempts and is now more defensive. Perhaps the Russian army is trying to rotate its forces, so it does not conduct active offensive operations. Before, the enemy tried to carry out some offensive actions almost every day, and, accordingly, it was defeated and turned back. Now it is kind of calm, but we understand that they are preparing, because our direction is strategically important," said the deputy commander of the "Karpatska Sich" battalion.
Maria Chashka added that the Ukrainian forces are ready to defend themselves and carry out orders for offensive actions as well.
