Russian forces in Crimea will be subjected to long-range missile attacks until they flee — Piontkovsky
Andrey Piontkovsky, a political scientist from Washington, noted that Ukraine now has Storm Shadow missiles that were used in the Chongar Bridge attack
He stated this on Espreso.
“General Zaluzhnyi devised the war plan, which he shared in an interview with the Economist magazine last December. He mentioned the need for long-range missiles to attack Crimea, as he was 84 km away from Melitopol and had to go in that direction. At that time, Ukraine only had missiles with a maximum range of 80 km for HIMARS. However, recently, Ukraine acquired Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb missiles for HIMARS with a range of 160 km. Additionally, Ukraine now possesses British Storm Shadow missiles. It is believed they were used during the attack on Chongar,” he said.
Piontkovsky stated that the shooting with long-range missiles will continue until the Crimean group retreats.
“Storm Shadow missiles are a joint development involving France. This indicates that France is also supplying these missiles, fulfilling a promise made by President Macron during President Zelenskyy's visit to Paris. The shooting of long-range missiles targeting the entire Crimean group will persist until they withdraw from the region,” he stated.
