Russian forces hit two high-rise buildings in Sumy killing 2, another 19 persons wounded

"Four victims remain in hospitals, 2 of them are in intensive care, 2 have injuries of moderate severity," the Sumy Regional Military Administration added.
Earlier, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported on the ‘kamikaze’ drone attacks in the city.
"As of 10:49 a.m., 4 strikes of the Shahed 136 type UAVs on the center of Sumy, were recorded. As a result of the attack, an administrative building and 2 apartment buildings were damaged," the statement says.
As of 1:00 p.m., at least 16 people have been reported injured and one dead.
Search and rescue works as well as eliminating the consequences of the attack continues.
The head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, reported one person killed in a drone attack.
"One person was killed in a five-story residential building as a result of a Russian UAV strike," he said.
Earlier, on Monday, July 3, Sumy Mayor Oleksandr Lysenko reported explosions in the region.
"Stay calm, be in shelters. Air defense is operating," Lysenko wrote.
Instead, Suspilne.Sumy reported that a residential building in the center of Sumy was damaged by a drone attack.
In addition, traffic was blocked on Petropavlivska Street, according to the local utility company.
