Russian forces ‘evacuate’ families of ZNPP employees to Russia — General Staff
Russians organized a so-called evacuation from the temporarily occupied Enerhodar to Rostov region for the families of ZNPP employees

The invading Russian forces organized a so-called evacuation for the families of workers of the Zaporizhzhia NPP in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, while the employees of the power plant themselves were not allowed to leave.
According to the report, the occupation authorities announced the evacuation of people to recreation centers and hotels in Berdyansk and Kyrylivka. However, those who agreed were taken to tent cities in the Rostov region instead.
In Velyka Bilozerka, last week, most of the collaborators left the settlement in their own vehicles in the direction of Crimea.
Russia launched 23 missile and 43 air strikes against Ukraine
On May 9th, the enemy launched 23 missile strikes and 43 air strikes, as well as 97 MLRS attacks.
The Russian army used various types of missiles, with most of them being successfully destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, some still managed to hit their targets, including 5 S-300 missiles that hit Kupyansk, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Kostiantynivka.
The threat of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, as the enemy continues to employ terror tactics.
The enemy launched 46 attacks in 4 directions
Russia is attacking the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.
Over the past day, Russian forces have carried out 46 attacks.
The fiercest battles are ongoing for Bakhmut and Marinka.
Situation in different Ukrainian regions
The situation in the northern and northwestern Ukrainian border did not change significantly.
In the northern and north-eastern part of Ukraine, the Russian troops fired mortar and artillery shells at 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 9 in the Sumy region, and 13 in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, 10 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire. Russians attempted to carry out an offensive on two areas, unsuccessfully.
In the Lyman direction. Artillery attacks were delivered on 5 localities in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. One unsuccessful offensive was launched.
The Russian occupation forces continued to attack in the Bakhmut direction with heavy fighting in the city of Bakhmut. They unsuccessfully assaulted 2 localities. As a result, 8 localities in the Donetsk region suffered from hostile shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian invading troops did not conduct offensives. They fired at 5 localities in the Donetsk region, and launched one air strike.
In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled attacks in the area of Marinka over the last day. One other locality in the Donetsk region was also subjected to hostile attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions yesterday. They opened fire at 5 localities in the Donetsk region, and launched one air strike.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the Russian troops are on the defensive. They attacked over 17 localities and launched air strikes in 3 areas.
AFU hit command post and 2 artillery systems at firing position
In the last 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces has launched eight strikes on areas where the enemy's personnel and military equipment are concentrated, and two strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems. The missile forces and artillery units have also hit the enemy's command post, four areas of manpower concentration, two artillery units at the firing position, and their radio-electronic warfare station.
Furthermore, Ukrainian defenders have successfully shot down six enemy UAVs of various types, three of which were Shahed type drones.

Earlier reports indicate that on May 8, the Russian occupiers began evacuating preschool and school-age children, along with their parents, educators, and other public sector workers, from the town of Kamianka-Dniprovska in Zaporizhzhia region. At the same time, all medical workers at the local hospital were called to work.
