Luhansk regional military administration head, Sergiy Gaidai, shared the update in his Telegram channel.
"Every day, Russian forces receive an order to advance further, they do not always carry it out, because the losses in personnel are very significant. Both the prisoners and those who communicate with the population in Lysychansk and Severodonetsk admit this. Only during the assault on Lysychansk, the enemy lost thousands of dead and wounded," he emphasized.
He noted that despite the greater number of Russian forces and means, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are better prepared and motivated. He added that if the Ukrainian army had long-range weapons, Russia's advantage in terms of personnel would be leveled.
"Yesterday, Russian forces wanted to advance to the Donetsk region, to cut the Bakhmut-Lysychansk road that runs past Bilogorivka, but again they did not report anything to their leadership. Under the pressure of our fighters, the enemy was forced to retreat," Sergiy Gaidai said.
The untimely delivery of ammunition to Russian forces is also indicated, as over the past two weeks, Ukrainian defenders have destroyed several warehouses in the temporarily occupied territory. One of them burned down in Kadiyivka the other day.
