Russian forces bombard Luhansk region with aircraft, artillery, mortar fire 

Luhansk regional military administration head, Sergiy Gaidai, shared the news in his Telegram channel.

From the side of Lysychansk, Russian forces alternately, and sometimes simultaneously, attack different sections of the administrative border between Luhansk region and Donetsk region. During July 22, there were at least two directions of enemy attack in the Luhansk region.

"Lysychansk and the surrounding occupied villages lie for tens of kilometers along the line that Russian forces have been dreaming of reaching for the past months. They have provided relevant reports to the leadership many times, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces had other plans and have not allowed the enemy to realize these intentions until today. Yes, the front line  in the Lysychansk direction is very high, so the danger comes from different places every time. However, our defenders are ready for resistance," the regional head emphasized.

On July 22, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults in the direction of Verkhnokamyanske and Siversk.

On July 22, Russian forces used aviation, carried out two artillery attacks and four mortar attacks.

"The destruction of yet another depot with ammunition does not add courage to the occupiers. This time in Slovyanoserbschyna," noted Sergiy Gaidai.
