Russian forces blow up road at border to 'prevent Ukrainian subversive groups from entering'

Invading Russian forces have blown up a road in the Chernihiv region near a monument dedicated to the friendship of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to “prevent Ukrainian subversive groups from entering”

Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reported this.

“From 'we will capture Kyiv in three days' to 'we blow up roads to prevent us from being captured'. The Russians blew up a road in the Chernihiv region at the junction of the borders of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia... although it is unlikely to help them,” the post says.

Russian pro-war Telegram channels claim that the purpose of the explosion is to prevent “Ukrainian subversive groups from entering.”

For reference. The Three Sisters Monument was unveiled in 1975 in honor of the friendship between Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. The monument was created by representatives of the Chernihiv, Bryansk, and Gomel regions. On April 15, 2022, Chernihiv Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko suggested in an interview that the monument should be demolished, or at least Ukraine should be carved out of it.
