Russian forces attempt to reach Dnipropetrovsk region on motorcycles – Ukraine’s 72nd Brigade
In the Pokrovsk sector, the situation remains difficult as Russian forces continue their assaults, still aiming to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region
Lieutenant Colonel Andrii Nazarenko, commander of the Black Zaporozhians Drone Battalion in Ukraine's 72nd Brigade, shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The southern part of the Pokrovsk sector remains tense. The enemy keeps attacking from morning until night, trying to reach the border with Dnipropetrovsk region. We are doing everything we can to stop them. We are destroying their troops effectively, even though they keep sending more soldiers. Sometimes they launch massive attacks using large numbers of troops. Other times, they try to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region on motorcycles. But none of these attempts work — we destroy them before they get close. Still, the enemy has had some minor successes in a few areas," he said.
Andrii Nazarenko said Ukrainian defenders are doing everything they can to make sure the enemy's gains stay limited to just a few hundred meters.
"We must keep improving every day. The truth is, the Russians have more soldiers, so we need to win through better technology. When it comes to FPV drones, I can say that wherever the enemy wants to push forward or reach a goal, they use a huge number of these drones — both in small and large groups. They keep bringing in more forces to try and move forward in certain areas," he added.
- Over the course of June 25, 154 combat clashes were registered on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 51 Russian attacks.
