Russian forces attempt to advance towards Lysychansk from the south and west to avoid having to fight across the Siversky Donets river from Severodonetsk.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) shared the update.
Russian troops are fighting for control of Belogorivka, where they failed to force the Siversky Donets river and Vrubivka, which would allow them to attack Lysychansk from the west.
They were gradually advancing north of Slovyansk, but probably have not yet been able to take control of the road to Slovyansk.
Also, Russian troops are gradually advancing north of Avdiyivka.
