Russian forces attack two universities in Mykolaiv, firing at least 10 missiles,injuring people

On the morning of July 15, explosions were heard in Mykolaiv. Russia fired at least 10 missiles and their strikes have hit two universities in the city.

Mykolaiv regional military administration head Vitaly Kim shared the news.

"Today russia-Terrorist attacked 2 biggest Universities in Mykolaiv. At least 10 missiles. Now they attack our education. I’m asking Universities of all democratic countries to claim russia what it is really is- the Terrorist," he wrote.

Russian forces shelled the old Pedagogical Institute and the National Shipbuilding University of Admiral Makarov.

"There were only two shipbuilding universities in the post-Soviet space: ours, Mykolaiv University, and St. Petersburg University. I wonder: they blocked the ports, blocked the sea, and now they are destroying the shipbuilding university. The only one that exists in principle... How would they react if  5 rockets came to Peter now?," the regional head said.

The communal services have already cleared the street of stones and various debris near the University of Sukhomlynsky. Traffic has been restored.

As the State Emergency Service noted, as a result of the missile attack:

In general, 7 units of emergency services and 27 rescuers were involved in the inspection of buildings and extinguishing the fire.

Currently, 2 injured people are recorded. 

"This time, Russian forces shelled Mykolaiv around 7:50, knowing full well that there were already many people on the streets at that time. Real terrorists!," stressed the head of the city council Oleksandr Senkevych.

The air raid alarm in the city was announced at 7:40. After that, there were more than 10 explosions.
