Russian forces attack Kherson and suburbs killing two people

On Saturday, December 30, Russian troops shelled Kherson and a village in the suburbs, killing two people and wounding five others

Roman Mrochko, the Kherson Military Administration head, reported.

"As a result of another Kherson shelling by occupying Russian forces, a house caught fire in the Korabelnyi district. So far, one person has been reported dead at the scene of the fire," he wrote.

On December 31, the military administration head clarified that three people were wounded as a shelling result. "Men aged 52 and 55 and a 71-year-old woman were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. All three were wounded during the Russian shelling of the city's Korabelnyi district," he said.

The Kherson Regional State Administration said that a 52-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition. He has explosive and closed head injuries, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to the chest. All three were on the street near the store when the shelling took place.

Later, according to the military administration head, two more men sought medical assistance. Both of them had contusions. They were in the car at the time of the shelling.

There is no water or electricity supply in the Korabelnyi neighborhood. Until the emergency works are completed, water will be supplied to the houses according to the schedule: from 8.00 to 10. and from 17.00 to 19.00.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the Kherson Regional Military Administration head, informed about the shelling of Antonivka. According to him, at the time of the shelling, a 55-year-old man was in his house yard. He received fatal injuries. Later, the Prosecutor General's Office reported that the Russian invaders attacked Antonivka at around 2:10 p.m. 

A pre-trial investigation has been launched in a criminal proceeding on the fact of the laws and customs of war violation, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
