Russian forces are champions in raping women - Wladimir Klitschko calls on International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Bach to bar Russian and Belarusian athletes from Olympics
Wladimir Klitschko said that the reinstatement of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the Olympic Games is a "betrayal of the Olympic spirit" and a "monumental mistake"
He said this in an address to the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.
Klitschko emphasized that today the Russian forces are "Olympic champions" in crimes against civilians and noted that allowing the invaders to compete would make Bach "an accomplice in this disgusting war.”
"They have a gold medal in the deportation of children and rape of women. You can’t put your Olympic emblem on these crimes because you will be an accomplice of this abominable war. Do not do this, otherwise, you will betray the Olympic spirit," the athlete said.
Wladimir Klitschko emphasized that a country that violates the basic principles of international law cannot be legitimized and supported by an international sports body.
"Do not make this monumental mistake. The world is watching you. History will judge you. Good luck with your decision," the athlete emphasized.
