Russian forces again attack Burshtyn thermal power plant in Ivano-Frankivsk region
A Russian missile strike hit a thermal power plant in the city of Burshtyn in western Ukraine, the Regional Military Administration said
This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk.
“The Russian enemy is attacking critical infrastructure facilities. Unfortunately, today our region suffered a missile attack again. Russian forces hit the Burshtyn thermal power plant (TPP). As a result, a fire broke out. All the emergency services are working, rescuers are on the spot. Thank God, there are no victims,” Svitlana Onyshchuk said.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration asks to limit the use of electrical devices that consume a lot of electricity from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m.
“The region managed to reduce electricity consumption by almost 15% thanks to joint efforts. But it is necessary to continue saving electricity,” Onyshchuk added.
At 4:39 p.m., the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration reported that the fire at the Burshtyn thermal power plant was extinguished.
