Russian fall offensive will be weaker, but city attacks will rise — Ukrainian Lt. Col.
The Russian fall offensive is likely to be even less successful than the summer one, but attacks on Ukrainian cities and Armed Forces positions will intensify
Lieutenant Colonel Vitaliy Hersak, commander of Ukraine's 423rd "Scythian Griffins" Brigade, shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The Russian fall offensive will be even less successful than the summer one. Our drone pilots are waiting for the foliage to fall so Russian troop concentrations become more visible. Their advantages on the ground will deteriorate from the start of fall,” said Hersak.
He added that threats from the air will rise this fall, primarily from missile and drone attacks on cities and strikes against Ukrainian defenders’ positions.
“But this will not be an offensive in the classic sense of the word. It will be pressure, terrorizing the civilian population in the rear, continuing the scorched earth tactic. If the occupiers want to fight us, let them fight on the front lines where the fighting is taking place, and not touch the civilian population and not fight against them,” Hersak emphasized.
