The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a compilation of fake news that Russia produced on February 23.

Espreso TV reported the information.

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, on February 23, Russia launched 3 major deceptions.

Disinformation: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, "Using Ukraine, the West wants to dismember Russia and deprive it of its independence, but all attempts are doomed to failure."

Manipulation: Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that the West was deliberately preparing Ukraine for war with Russia.

"Starting the "history countdown" from February 24, 2022, ignoring everything that happened before that, is a deliberate attempt by the collective West to mislead and hide the true causes of the conflict, which are key to understanding the prospects for its peaceful resolution," Nebenzya said.

Fake news: The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that "the Kyiv regime is preparing an armed provocation against Transnistria, which will be carried out by units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including the Azov regiment, banned in Russia.”
