Attack on Sumy region

At 12:55 a.m., Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian troops attacked the Verkhnia Syrovatka community in the Sumy region with attack drones.

“The Russians hit the residential area hard, causing a fire and damage,” he said.

At 2:14 a.m., Hryhorov said three people died in the attack — a man, a woman, and an 8-year-old boy whose body was found under the rubble of a destroyed house. They were from different families but lived on the same street.

Early reports say six more people were injured.

The State Emergency Service said about 15 buildings caught fire across six private households. Rescuers have now put out all the fires.

Attack on Kharkiv

At 2:11 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported explosions in the city.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said an explosion was first detected in the Nemyshlyanskyi district of Kharkiv. Mayor Terekhov added it happened in a private area near a hospital, breaking windows in nearby buildings.

At 2:34 a.m., the Kharkiv mayor reported another explosion.

“Early reports say two more strikes happened in the Nemyshlyanskyi district,” Syniehubov said.

Soon after, Terekhov said a civilian business was also attacked by drones, causing a fire.

At 2:53 a.m., Syniehubov said a drone hit the ground in Nemyshlyanskyi, damaging windows of a house. He later said another drone was found there but did not explode.

At 2:59 a.m., the Kharkiv mayor said a private house was hit, and at 3:07 a.m., one person was reported injured.

Shortly after, two more explosions were heard.

As of 3:24 a.m., the head of the Regional Military Administration said that three drones flew over a civilian business in the Nemyshlyanskyi district.

At 3:47 a.m., Mayor Terekhov gave an update on the attack: “According to early reports, the enemy launched 7 Shahed drones at Kharkiv last night. One didn’t explode. The others hit three places — two in the private sector of the Nemyshlyanskyi district and one at a civilian business in the Saltivskyi district. One person was injured.”

At 4:11 a.m., the mayor said the number of injured had risen to three.

The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office informed that Russian troops attacked Nemyshlianskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv.

"Civilian businesses and private houses were damaged as a result of the attack. As of now ( 4:50 a.m.), three people have sought medical assistance. It has been established that the enemy used a Geran-2 UAV for the attacks," said Spartak Borysenko, head of the Department for Combating Crimes Committed in the Context of Armed Conflict.

In the morning, reports said that two more people, including a 15-year-old girl, sought medical help.
