Russian drone strike injures five civilians in Kharkiv region, sparks fire in Odesa
On Wednesday evening, September 3, Russia launched attack drones against Ukraine

Kharkiv region
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian drone strikes on settlements in Chuhuiv and Lozova districts of Kharkiv region caused fires and left people injured.
In the village of Malynivka, Chuhuiv district, the Russian strike hit a private yard, setting a residential house and several cars on fire. Five civilians were injured, sustaining minor injuries and acute stress reactions. They refused hospitalization.
Overall, the nighttime Russian attack caused four fires at a civilian enterprise and infrastructure facilities. A total of 47 rescuers and 8 State Emergency Service vehicles dealt with the aftermath of Russia’s terror.
Air defense in Kyiv region
At 8:47 p.m., the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that a drone had been detected in the airspace. Air defense forces are engaging the target.
Explosions in Odesa
At 01:43 a.m., Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov reported that explosions were heard in the city.
By morning, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said that the strike had sparked a fire in a warehouse, damaging a truck.
“More than 40 firefighters from the State Emergency Service, the National Guard’s fire unit, and volunteers quickly contained and extinguished the blaze. According to preliminary reports, fortunately, there were no casualties,” the State Emergency Service added.
