Russian drone attacks on Ukraine injure civilians in Sumy, Dnipro
On the evening of Wednesday, August 6, Russia’s occupation forces launched strike drones across Ukrainian territory
Strikes on Sumy region
At 11:57 p.m., the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, reported that two Russian UAVs had targeted civilian infrastructure in the region.
A 71-year-old man was injured in the attack and taken to the hospital with shrapnel wounds. Doctors are currently providing him with necessary medical care.
Dnipropetrovsk region: 33 drones shot down over the area
Russian drone attacks damaged railway infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, head of the board at Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia).
"Another night... Yet another night of mass Shahed raids targeting completely civilian railway infrastructure. This time – Prydniprovska," he reported.
No casualties were recorded, as personnel were in shelters at the time of the attack.
“The infrastructure and equipment will be restored,” Pertsovskyi added, noting that train operations remain on schedule.
On the morning of August 7, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration also confirmed the aftermath of the attack.
In Dnipro, four people were injured. A 43-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were hospitalized in moderate condition.
Several fires broke out, including at an administrative building and a vehicle. Twelve cars were destroyed and 17 more damaged.
Eight residential buildings were damaged, and one private home was destroyed. A transport enterprise also sustained damage.

In Pavlohrad, fires broke out at a summer house and a car. In the Synelnykove district, the roof of a local school and dry grass caught fire. A private home and a car were also hit.
In the Nikopol district, artillery and drone strikes targeted several towns. Infrastructure, an administrative building, a business, and a library were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Explosions in Kryvyi Rih
At 2:48 a.m., Oleksandr Vilkul, head of Kryvyi Rih’s Defense Council, reported an ongoing Shahed drone attack with explosions heard throughout the city.
On the morning of August 7, Vilkul stated that air defense had shot down 33 drones over the region, including Kryvyi Rih. However, more than 10 Shahed drones struck targets.
Several fires broke out, and a modular building was damaged. Emergency services were dispatched immediately, and by 5 a.m., all fires had been extinguished. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
In addition, in the Kryvyi Rih district, Russian drones targeted the Karpivska community, damaging an unused building. No casualties were reported.
